Wife and I are headed to Socorro on the Belle Amie in December. First time, and looking forward to it!
Tacking on to this thread: anyone been to Socorro in late-December? I'm specifically looking for water temperature information.
I’ll be on Belle Amie from 23rd to 31st of December 2025. Which dates would you be on it?

As for water temperatures in December, check out Table 1 of my trip report: Trip Report - Socorro 22-30 December, 2018 Trip Report

We were aboard the Belle Amie over Christmas December 2024.
Overall a great trip, diving was amazing, and I would absolutely dive Socorro with Nautilus again, but not on the Belle Amie.
> way too many divers
> gearing up for a dive is a nightmare due to the above
> poor layout -- particularly in the dining area and saloon -- given the number of guests
> shabby vessel (in absolutely perfect safe working order, but in dire need of TLC; the veneer of luxury fades when you examine closely).

Just took the Nautilus Under Sea Hunter, only 19 divers and all the amenities of the bigger boats. <3 It's like the 6-pack of Socorro boats.
I'm just about to pull the plug for a trip on it in June. I was thinking of going back to Belize but the prices are about the same and I like the big critters(multiple trips out to Cocos Island.)

Nothing specific that I can remember but I’m going back on June 28th and will let you know. I commented on your other post about wetsuit thickness with some info about the trip and a video of my trip. It’s an awesome boat and the crew and service has always been top-notch.
Hi, how was your trip to Socorro last year? I have an opportunity to go this June but seeing mixed opinions whether June is a good time of year.

A
I'm thinking I need another dive trip this year and I'm looking at Socorro in November. I found some open spots on trips to Socorro on the Valentina, the Rocio Del Mar and the Nautilus Explorer and Belle Amie.

I'm a very experienced diver and I went to Socorro on the Nauticas Explorer in 2005. I have not been on any of the other boats, although I am going on the Rocio Del Mar to the Sea of Cortez in August.

I've been on many Nautilus trips and always had a good time. My friend went on the Valentina and said the food was good. I think the Rocio Del Mar is a little less cushy than the other two, but I don't really mind that.

So just looking for feedback from people who've been on one or more of the boats and how your experience was, and whether you would recommend it.

Thanks!
As others have said, can't go wrong with the Belle Amie
