lollol thats pretty dam neat! It's great when your able to customize your gear like that! I want to do a simple adjustment to my Mares Volo Power fins, I m gonna tranfer my Technisub Straps onto them, but first i have to cut away a knotch which is on the circular tab where the mares straps are.
I have done a lot of experimentation with the split fin and the scoop fin. For a split fin, this split does not go up far enough on the blade. It should go as far up as is practical to accomplish to channel the water down the split.
Any blade fin can also be made into a scoop fin design, by simply cutting away the blade about 3/4 inch to 1 inch from the side rib, and using the material cut away to anchor the scoop material (sheet PVC, rubberized nylon, etc.). The scoop should form a semicircle at the far end of the fin, and be flat at the toe end.
