Yes TomG, I use the onboard flash.
I usually use mode A, so I can work the depth of field and let the camera take care of the shooting speed, and pre-set WB to fluorescent light 4200K, it's option 3 on the preset 2 of WB menu.
My speech can be wrong, because I have no inland photographic experience and I start to take pictures underwater 2 weeks ago. I only have 4 dives of underwater photography.
