Little problem with that mask was that you couldn't equalize your ears by pinching your nose, you had to manage that without being able to close the nose..........That first stage is a Scubapro Mk-2, which is a basic un-balanced piston regulator.
The mask has a simple downstream demand valve on the very top. You can see the demand valve lever in some of your pictures.
The glass is suspended around the perimeter by a single bellows or a single convolution of flexible rubber. This allows the entire glass viewing port to double as the demand valve diaphragm. Since it has a very large area, it has a huge mechanical advantage. It is a very easy breathing demand valve regulator.
You could breath into your nose or mouth, but most of the time it was best to seal your mouth around the horizontal tube. The exhaust is through that horizontal tube, out both sides.
I have only used this type of mask on a test dive (many years after it was produced) and I was impressed by its performance.
I actually own one of them, but the rubber is not in good shape and it is only useful as a display or show and tell.
