I have a pair of Scubapro Jet Fins from somewhere around 1995 that are just in a corner of the garage. What should I do with them? Goodwill seems strange. The trash seems wasteful. Do they still have a purpose?

Unless they are dried out or cracking, you can still use them. I have some gear from 30-40 years ago that still functions flawlessly.

It isn't like that design has changed. List them for sale. Unless they are an odd size, they are probably still worth $20.

Donate them to Diveheart.

They have a sub-forum here.

Nail them to the rafters as I do all my Retired shoes.

I gave my 33 yr old decor planas to my son in law last month with fresh new straps.

My 1987 Jet Fins have the lightning bolt through the SP logo. So, they are the lighter weight (2nd gen?) Jet Fins. I do not know the year that SP switched to this then-newer, lighter weight rubber compound.

ETA: I just checked my 1986 SP catalog (my oldest). The Jet Fins' rubber compound was changed in 1982.

My jet fins are from the same era, they are still useable. Goodwill is a good place to start. I see them up here in Anchorage priced from $15 to $20. I advise candidates for pararescue training in the Army or National Guard that I run into at the local pools to check goodwill and the secondhand sports equipment store when they are looking to buy their jetfins. No reason to buy new if a serviceable pair will suffice.
