Hi guys,

I came into possession of a set of Aqualung LUX Legend regulators. How do I tell if its the Supreme or normal version (not cold optimised)? Are there any visual clues or?

Thanks

I have several sets of the first generation of these regulators (from 2006), both Supreme and non-Supreme, but the design has changed at least twice since then and you don’t say how old yours are.

On my series, which I believe was made until 2011(?), the Supreme has a large snowflake inscribed into the top of the second stage, just before the mouth piece. It’s impossible to miss.

I don't think there was a significant difference on the legeneds, maybe a tuning difference from the factory?
Possibly the 2nd stage body had a 'coating' and might have a snowflake on it somewhere. IDK if anyone has actually shown what the difference is

Let me see if I can upload pictures. It's one of the more recent models with the rose gold and pvd coating on the first stage. I don't k ow th exact age but it should be between 2 to 4 years old.

Ok i found some wordings on the regs that say > 10 degrees so I'm guessing this means it's just Legend Lx and not the supreme

I believe that on the first stage, if you can see the hexagon adjustment screw, it is not a cold water version. If the adjustment screw is covered by a silicone diaphragm than it is a cold water version(supreme) This seems to be how aqualung and, even before, Us Divers handled the sealing of the main diaphragm and spring to make the first stage cold tolerant.
