There is a California based group that is making combat IFAK’s for Ukraine. They cost $10 each to make then they get shrink wrapped. I will look for the POC for that in case someone wants to support that by making their own kits or sending sending them a donation.
A Ukrainian church not too far from where I live has put out a request for things such as:
  • Combat (or even hunting) Boots,
  • Used or surplus combat (camouflaged) uniforms
  • IFAK components such as pressure dressings or "Israeli Bandages", gauze, trauma shears, etc.
  • Heavy Socks
  • Camping Gear such as tents (subdued colours), sleeping bags, and freeze dried foods etc
One point to add is that if you decide to donate hunting or "after market" camouflage clothing, it will almost certainly lack some features that have become common in current combat uniforms most notably an Infra Red (IR) blocking aspect. It might make the person harder to see with the "naked eye", but they will still glow brightly when viewed through an IR system.

For those not familiar with Israeli Bandages, here you go (BTW, they can be purchased on Amazon)

If it's still possible to do this perhaps you can list what goes in these kits if it's not obvious, I have no idea.
I will get the list. Standby.
These kits can and will be saving lives as well as be present on the battle line.. Think about where you want your money to go ...

Do you think my buying a bunch of trauma shears from DGX and getting them shipped to the church near you would be helpful? Perhaps we could get a SB order in for bulk. I know DGX is a business and not a charity but I'll approach them , perhaps they can make a small discount. I'll email them.

Anyone in the know on the weather there know what the actual F temps are and when it is likely to warm up ?

The most useful help possible for the money. Happy to be guided by folk more in the know.

Well, if folks want to donate to the IFAK cause either the items or money, perhaps we can make arrangements with SB staff to receive the money or send to me, whatever the SB house protocol is on that ?
