I added XS Scuba weight pockets to my cam bands on a new Zeagle Express Tech and now have just enough Velcro to get the end of the strap. My old Express Tech had plenty of Velcro. Anyone know a simple way to improve this? Not sure if other cam bands have more Velcro than this.

Thanks.

Like like the camband is too short? Or tank diameter is too big?
The band is long enough. You're seeing it on a standard AL80. There just doesn't seem to be enough soft loop side of the Velcro available along the strap.

Hey, good job with the express tech. I still use that same soft plate with my tropical rig. In case you didn’t try it, easy to add more grommets to the plate.

Seems crazy that the velcro strap got significantly shorter just with addition of a weight pocket. Are you sure you have the straps threaded same as before on the plate and routed on the buckles the same?

if there’s no way to adjust how it’s threaded, you might consider a STA vs. looping under the webbing on the plate. I’ve long since replaced the zeagle horseshoe bladder with a more streamlined donut bladder and found the STA works better than threading on the express plate. STA for $20 Here: Scuba Diving Single Tank Adapter Travel Aluminum Alloy Ultralight For Backplate - Walmart.com

Thanks. Unfortunately the old Express Tech was "lost" by the USPS in shipment. Trying to set it up exactly as I had it. The old one had a 35# Stiletto wing on it, so I went with the same. It's attached the same way, as far as I can tell. This is how the old one was.

XSscuba pockets are way too bulky, get a couple of DGX ones.

It has nothing to do with xs weight pockets. My upper camband has 2 xs pockets. Lower cabs has none. The relative position of the end of the camband is off by less then 1/2” if at all. You sure your camband is threaded correctly?

Threaded correctly in what respect?
