What other specific emergency would they make us manage at 130? OOA and safe ascension seems like the only option?

Otherwise my mistake, thought I read someone else online saying their instructor made them simulate safe ascension with a diver showing DCI symptoms.

You may well have read that. But that does not mean it is part of the mandated course.
Your "simulated emergency" does not have to take place at 130 ft. OOA is far more likely than DCI.
Remember that DCI is either DCS or AGE, and neither happens at depth; they are both caused by pressure release as you ascend.

Actually thinking more about it, it could be literally any equipment malfunction. Heh, guess I'll have to wait and see what happens in my course

Spoke with my shop and turned out the instructor I called had 0 idea what the class would do for me (not a good sign). It's the Adventure course, where you pay an instructor to help you touch 100 ft.

So change of plans, I'll dive until I qualify for Rescue by dive count. I'll try to stay mature and above 60 ft to the best of my ability

SDI Advanced is more like the PADI Master Diver. Requires 4 specialties and 25 dives minimum. Think the only non-diving specialty is nitrox. I’d have to check the standards.

SDI Advanced Adventure is equal to PADI AOW.

Do the SDI Advanced. I did wreck, nav, night, deep. The specialties are better than the sampler platter.

You are wrong. PADI Master Scuba diver cert requires OWD, AOWD, Rescue Diver, EFR, 50 dives, 5 specialties.

Good thing I went SDI then lol, Master diver was 50 logged dives below 15 ft and Rescue.

I'd have to head south, most shops are PADI near me. But heck I ain't getting near this shop for Rescue imo, they can handle the air and stuff but I do not trust an instructor who keeps answering "idk" when pressed on the course material XD

Good conclusion. It is worth seeking out a good Rescue instructor; that is much more important than the agency or the location.

Is it possible to do Rescue with PADI? If I log 50 dives and present valid SDI proof, will a PADI center be allowed to certify me as Rescue?

The PADI prerequisite to take the PADI Rescue class is the PADI Adventure Diver certification (three dives, of which one must be the Underwater Navigation Adventure dive) or equivalent. PADI AOW is five dives, of which one is Navigation and one is Deep, so is slightly more training than PADI Adventure Diver. SDI does not have an equivalent certification to PADI Adventure Diver, so in the SDI system you'd have to take the Advanced Adventure Diver course, which is effectively identical to the PADI AOW course.
There is no PADI work-around like SDI has that allows you to do 40 dives to get into the SDI Rescue class.
Note that the SDI standards suggest 12h for the class, of which 8 should be in open water. PADI standards suggest 25h for the class, although it is usually taught in two days.
Both agencies require up-to-date CPR/First-Aid and preferably O2 provider, although this may be taught along with the Rescue class (with additional time, of course).
