Just bring a good attitude and your gear. The crew will take care of everything else. There is a Know Before You Go document that you should read. It will lay everything out for you.

Thank you! I did receive a PDF with some info, but I'm guessing more will be forthcoming. I'll definitely re-read what was sent. I always arrive with a good attitude....just happy to be able to travel and dive right now and be in the company of others.

Yes. We were told that in Mexico before testing for our return to the US last month. We weren't told why, but were were told not to eat for 4 hours and not to drink alcohol for 8 hours before the test. Funny though...some people we became friendly with at the resort (which arranged on-site testing) were told not to eat for 8 hours or drink for 12 hours. No mention of smoking, but we don't smoke.

I found the covid instructions. Easy! I'm going to see if I can get the vaccine soon as it's moving fairly quickly here in Oklahoma, but testing is easy enough.

I'm not sure who the captain is. I'll need to dig a bit deeper for information.

Yes, I know Jerome. He took over for Chris when he went to the Kona Aggressor. Jermone, Ferman and the crew are top notch. I think you said you were going on the IV (Sun Dancer). I think Dennis will be the captain for that boat. If so, you will be quite happy. He is a great guy and really knows Light House Atoll.

Second, do I need to pack towels? I see that some liveaboards provide deck/after-dive towels and others do not.

My pro tip: take your mask easily accessible and claim your spot on the dive deck 1st thing by hanging it on the tank valve you want.

I usually pick a spot where I will be out of the wind bc I get cold when I get back from a dive. Plus I don't want to sit where the wetsuits are hanging and people reaching over you to access them.
