Anyone ever tried removing scratches from the face of their computer?

If so, how did it go and if it went well, what method/kit did you use?

If you can't find NOVUS, try looking for Autosol metal polish. I learned of it when I was trying to figure out how to remove scratches from plastic watch crystals. It came highly recommended and it does work. Depending on how deep the scratches are, it might take a bit of elbow grease, but worth the effort.

The scratches on my s computer were too deep to be polished out.
I had to wet sand it with 1000 grit to remove all scratches followed by 2000 grit to prepare for polish.
After a couple of minutes with the polish, the lens was like new.
Use caution when sanding, the whole process only takes 5 minutes.

Cheers

Don't worry - you won't see the scratches underwater.

Reason (I hope this is right - someone call a physicist!): water has a similar refractive index to the perspex or glass, so scratches aren't noticed.

I've used toothpaste. Works good enough as Wibble is correct that scratches seem to disappear under water anyway.
