Kinda so. USS Kittiwake has an individualized token with unique numbers that they use to track how many divers go there as well.

Not really a challenge. A challenge coin is a military memorabilia thing Challenge coin - Wikipedia

Usually issued and collected by military members. The USS Emmons does it because it's a war memorial from WWII
