Maybe a good point for the worried is the fact that you can calibrate the compass unlike some others.

I don't understand why skin contact is impossible with a dry suit (excuse my unfamiliarity) and why a chest / wrist based HRM transmitter couldn't be worn under an undergarment thereby providing skin contact.

re your other points, I don't envision it being implemented in a way that would cause that type of chaos / stress. As long as I know what the computer will do in certain situations then I'm happy. I'm not sure if I see it as a whizz-bang / must be everything issue, but more of a next logical step that is driven by divers diving (as opposed to divers cycling, running etc). Any secondary benefit would be cool, not not required.
How would you see the thing if it were on your wrist touching your skin under a dry suit?

If Teric is not meant to be a watch, what's the point of changing from Petrel/Perdix? All you said can be accomplished by aforementioned DCs. I'm not saying it's bad, it has some features I really like, like SF, but those will get on Perdix through FW upgrades? @Shearwater, hint, hint? If you account for price difference, there is no compelling reason to change/buy over Perdix, except watch form?
I don’t wear mine as a watch but it is much easier to handle clipping and un clipping multiple stage bottles. My Perdix getts jammed in between them. Also when getting in and out of your harness it is much easier w/ the Teric. Perdix arm through first!

You're right. I wear a Teric on one are and a Perdix on the other arm. The Perdix always goes through first! :D

With all the new bezel colours announced I wonder if one or the other is more scratch resistant. Any thoughts?

I always favor “raw metal” over any coating

The bull bars I install over the Teric could potentially scratch the bezel since it is very tight fit but so far I don’t see a slightest scratch, anytime you want to charge Teric you have to remove/re-install the bull bars and the process is highly scratch prone.
