I just picked up my brand new Shearwater Teric :)
Comes with a pre-installed glass protector.

However on both my first computer, a Suunto D4, and the following Oceanic OCi, I've been using Suunto silicone bumpers to prevent scratches on the watch itself. The Suunto bumpers fit on the Oceanic, but a bit stretched out. When I sold my Suunto, it may have been 9 years old, but still looked new since it had always had a bumper on it.

Now with the Teric, the Suunto silicone bumper does not fit at all.
I've been looking online, trying to find a silicone bumper that would fit the Teric...

Given the price of the computer, I would like to find a bumper that fits, keep it looking new and clean. But I can't find for Shearwater
Does anyone know of a silicone bumper for a larger computer that could work?

Hi, thanks, yes I saw those. However my preference would be a silicone bumper like the Suunto.
If I cannot find, I will buy the bull bars.

I'm hoping right now that another brand makes a silicone bumper for a watch in a similar size to the Teric, in the same way I was using Suunto on the Oceanic.

Let us know, I'll bet the watch has to be similar to an oceanic or suunto watch size. It's amazing they make silicone covers for all these car remotes but not for a 1k dive watch.

I tried my Suunto one on the Teric. On the Oceanic it was already streched (it would break at the end of a trip, but for the cost vs the cost of the watch, still worth it).
On the Teric, no go, in addition to having a larger diameter, the watch is also thicker, so I can't get the bumper on.

Since I have a spare, I was thinking of heating the silicone in an attempt to stretch it. Probably not the best idea, but if all else fails...

Happy to report that I found one that fits! Was at my local dive shop tonight and they had a silicone bumper for the Mares Nemo that looked like the strappy part that goes over the band was bigger than the suunto ones. For $20, I gave it a shot, and it fits great. The sides are a bit close to the function buttons, but they are still accessible, and the buttons are a bit further out than the strap.
For the fit, it's a tiny bit stretched, but much less so than when I was stretching a suunto bumper to fit on my oceanic.
I'll be in the water tomorrow, so I'll be able to test the readability of the screen through the bumper, but the shape and cloudy look when dry looks a lot like the suunto ones, so I don't expect any issues.
In desperation, I ordered the bull bars, they're in the mail now, but after using silicone bumpers on my previous computers to keep the casing looking new, I'm perfectly ok to have wasted the money, I'm going with the bumper!

The suunto ones covered less on the actual suunto watch, but after 9 years of abuse, my suunto had a single tiny ding when I sold it.
IMO, it's the height of the silicone that causes the impact to be on the bumper first. but yes I agree that hit at an angle, it will take a hit.
