It doesn’t. The display only turns of either manually or if it’s been stationary for a while.

I recently received a replacement Teric directly from Shearwater. My previous Teric dive computer (DC) was purchased just before release on pre-order (I never had dove with it). I noticed after I fully charged the DC the battery would drain to 20% in about one month in standby mode, with the AI off. So I started monitoring the DC more closely, and I verified I lost 15% of battery life in three days. I contacted Shearwater, they proved me a pre-paid label to return the DC, which they received the very next day. About a week later I received my replacement and so far all is well.

The latest production run even comes with a screen protector pre-installed and a quality control sign-off card and the newest firmware v12 (at this moment not publicly available). I recommend everyone who purchased the early production run to monitor their batteries performance.

Thank you Shearwater for great customer service.

The screen protector, is it tempered glass?

I am not sure what the material is made from, but I took some shots so you can see for yourself.

Sounds like tempered glass, good that means I can probably buy it from DGX in the future. Right now I am using the DRIS screen protector it isn't quite the right size, also I cracked it within the first few dives (which is the purpose of course).

This is the screen protector I was using prior, which fit well.
