On technical diving, that whole section of the website is out of date and getting revamped as we speak. So.. stand by

There wasn't any info regarding the cross-over requirements, I am curious if it is like PADI (partial IDC and full IE) or if it is like many other agencies where there is a "how the agency works" section and then a skills-based evaluation by an IT

Hate to resurrect an older thread, but this seemed more relevant to my question than your recent (much appreciated) post about crossover possibilities.

What's the philosophical difference between SNSI and other agencies? (You don't have to name names, but perhaps a "what will you do differently that other agencies aren't doing?")

Your mission statement says "The SNSI Brand signifies quality, professionalism and kindness"

I'm guessing most agencies would say they offer quality and professionalism at least, and many effectively get at kindness. Is it in one of these areas that SNSI sees a deficiency elsewhere (generally speaking, not picking on any given agency)?

Deep question, hardly any pun intended.

I'm pretty passionate about quality training that is attainable. SNSI shares those values.

Many agencies "market" some values, how many live them? Seriously? A couple for sure but hardly the majority.

SNSI puts great value in quality, also in evolving and progressive training that maximises efficiency and results. One example of this is our new neutral buoyancy open water course. To be fair, many instructors have gone that direction and other agencies are allowing it or "encouraging it". We developed an entirely new work flow, training system and skill presentation for SNSI instructors and are rolling out the tools to them so as to be able to teach neutral, safely and with class control, even at max ratios (when conditions allow max ratios). We will have that implemented fully by end 2019.

Even the directors of the company are required to teach at least one open water class a year.(and we all teach lots of instructor programs and some of us are active tech instructors as well) How many agencies do that? There is a reason for it, we all came from there and we should never forget it, or get too distant.

We are less about "members" which is an often used but not meant term in diving and more about "Family" (#snsifamily). Our leaders, our dive centres, our students and certified divers are part of the snsifamily.. It's not just about diving. I can't stress how much SNSI lives by this. family gatherings over meals, sharing family news is as important as anything we do.(SNSI Family)
