My not-all-that-old mask leaked like crazy on my last trip; the skirt appears warped so I guess that's the cause. I think it got warped in the case I use for packing it. The mask just sits in there with no support. So now I have to buy a new mask, but do any come with a good case, or is there a good generic aftermarket case that will work? Since my mask has to have corrective lenses I carry it on.

I don't store my mask in the case I store it inside hanging by the strap and just use the case for transporting it. Just an idea then the case can't cause the skirt to warp although without heat to set it it shouldn't stay. Before you buy a new mask try heating the skirt up with a hair dryer and putting it back into the right shape you may be able to save it.

Fascinating. Why doesn't Dive Gear Express include one of these with their own masks? I received my DGX mask in a mesh pouch, which provides zero protection.

I hadn't realized mask warping was an issue. I have been storing my masks in the standard plastic mask box that, ahem, MOST of my masks have arrived in, and never had a warping problem.

The skirt is flexible. It may take a different "set" if it is stored folded or jammed into a case, but as soon as you put it on the skirt will conform to your face. I do not think a "warped" skirt is the cause of your leakage.

Maybe you can provide additional information on the warpage?

I have stored my mask in the plastic case it came in. I often jam a few other things like a marker light and a dive computer in there as well. The mask is now 28 years old and still works just fine.

I like the Zippered style cases (especially the the Orange ones) because the standard plastic boxes are prone to popping open too easily, moreover, the Orange ones make finding one's mask easier amid a clutter of the traditional 'all-black' dive gear most other divers have.

Sorry to disillusion you there on DGX, ignorance is bliss! :) At least their mesh baggie will keep your shattered mask fragments contained for easy disposal.

Most of the branded ones do come with a case. When I travel, I normally put my mask in the case and travel with it. It just make things easier and one less worry to ponder.
