Hi Guys,

I recently connected my Perdix to my phone via the android app and downloaded the latest software update V44. As far as I could see everything went OK with the update. The computer shows the fireware version as V44 in the settings menu. However, since then my computer will not connect to either my PC with the dongle or my android app.

It just says connecting... for the entire 3:00 countdown. It hasn't been diving or anything after the update I literally tried straight away.

I can connect in my PC bluetooth settings. But the app/desktop software doesn't want to connect however. Both app and desktop are at latest software state.

Any idea where I can go from here? It seems that the software update has rendered my Perdix unable to connect.

Ok so it seems I have the Windows 10 version that doesn't let the computer connect.

But what about the Shearwater app. It was working fine. Can I do a reset on the unit without losing all my dives?-

you wont lose the dives on the shearwater desktop if you do a back up and save database to a selected folder -(file-back up) -then reset app and do restore database (file- restore)and it will work

Mine wouldn't connect via bluetooth, but the dongle worked fine. Also, I can upload to the cloud from my phone, and download to my computer (Windows 10).

My new Perdix AI also won't connect to the app on my Mac or on the iPhone.

I get a BT INIT FAIL message every time.

This also happened to me after the software update. Working through the troubleshooting I was able to get it to upload by telling the download dive log I have a Petrel, not Perdix when you are asked to select dive computer (even though it is a Perdix).

wait. does desktop version already supports downloading from the cloud?!

I am not a frequent diver, but I am pretty sure it does.

@RainPilot , Update your firmware through shearwater desktop. I thought mine was done but it really wasn't and the message you are getting went away after I updated.

I'd love to but Desktop can't connect to the DC. It also shipped with version 44 so shouldn't need to be updated.

The update I was referring to was the Desktop app update
