*shrug* The reef in Bunaken is in better condition, it's more colourful, and it has far better viz. At least when I've been there.

Like I said, YMMV.

bunaken is over dived. i wasn't sure what boat we were going to come up there.. both bunaken and RA have a lot of water exchange, which makes for clear water and lots of critters.

it is just a really cool place to dive. we have dove a number of them. wakatobi, indonesia and palau are fabulous as well in that area.

When is the good time to go to Palau?

Palau is on my bucket list ever since I saw Don Andersen's video of Blue Corner:

bunaken is great wall drift diving., but raja ampat was better diving IMO. RA is mostly just drift dives. they might or might not be next to a wall.

a couple pics for you..

i rarely see 4 clownfish lined up in an anemone.

I see you like the false-clown anemonefish. Have you ever seen the true clown anemonefish? If yes, where have you seen one. I don't think I have ever seen one, mostly the false one.

i have heard that false-clownfish BS before. i just call them the western clownfish and the eastern clownfish,

we go to palau in july/august time-frame. blue corner and new drop-off (next to blue corner) are epic dives. some of the best dives we have ever seen. bring a reef-hook. the current can get really wicked there. blue corner is on the edge of the palau archipelago. basically an 800 ft shear wall. all sorts of big and small stuff is there. 1st time i was there i went through my air really fast..
