My most convenient dive spot is low viz, low biology, low ecology. I still love being underwater. What are some entertaining ways you enjoy such a dive? For those of you who are cursed with an absence of these dive conditions, what do you do for fun on a deco stop?

I've been running drills n training but am wondering other more recreational ways to dive.

Happy diving!

look for a toypedo and play catch underwater.

Grab a handful of clay targets and chunk them randomly in the water. Search for sunken treasure/evidence. We do it for training, but you can for fun. Clay targets are biodegradable and non-toxic so they will eventually become part of the muck. They usually land upside down, so the bright orange/white/or yellow color won't help the search. If you dive with a buddy, make it a contest who can find the most within given time limit.

Good find! Mischief aplenty in clear water!

I usually tie my buddy to the log with a spool in Ginnie why he is trying to take a nap. When I get him tied up, I shake the hell out of him to see his reaction, you would think he would get wise to it after a few times.:D

...no wonder I end up solo mostly!

At one lake I dive and check out the debris that has been tossed off the bridge. The viz is a couple of yard with a good light and zero without, and the bottom is so silty that a crawdad can take the viz to zero with the light. My buddy and I set up lines that eventually ran from one bridge abutment to the other on both sides with two cross connectors, tied to debris along the way. The shore excursions yielded a number of anchors, fishing poles, sunglasses, and so on......

When the lake, at the lowest point we dive, is 105 to 150 depending on the lake level. We stayed mostly in NDL, on the trip back up-slope we occasionally went in and out of deco for a couple of minutes and spent a lot of time at the at 15' to lower our N2 whether deco or not on the dive since most were deep. Fish and crawdads were our only friends at the stop.
