Does anyone know of a place in theDFW area with a pool where I could practice skills? I just completed an OW course this weekend in Florida, and would like to practice some of the skills learned this weekend. I would really like to find a dive shop that has a pool where I could try out some different equipment as well.

i think scubatoys in carrollton has a pool, might want to call to confirm
Cool. I was just in there yesterday browsing around. I didn't see anything that suggested there was a pool, but the building was quite a bit larger than the store itself.

Their pool is in the back. You can see it through a window in the back wall behind the drysuits and wings.

Awesome! I'm assuming they charge something to use it? Will they let you test equipment before you buy (I don't even know if anyone does)?

I've used it a couple of times for free but each use was associated with fine tuning new gear that I bought from them. You can call and ask what their policy is I suppose.

Call Joe at the shop, and mention my name. Pool use is pretty open, but bear in mind that if a class is going on there may be limitations. Number is 972-820-7667.
