They are prohibited in the marine park.
That said, some ops let their clients wear them. Presumably (but not definitely) having ascertained that said clients don't hang onto everything they pass by.

Just don't....

Very true Marg, some folks just wear them because they do not feel the rules apply to them. That said, I always wear them when I dive north out of the marine park.

Usually due to the Op/DM not having the cajones to tell a diver to take them off for fear of risking business/tip.

I gladly will fill in and let them know - no gloves - if the DM doesn't or won't. Have done it once or twice when I dove with Papa Hogs (DM wouldnt say anything - not owners lol - M&M would go bananas). Dove with Blue XTSea this year and Pedro was VERY clear about the gloves/knife rule which I thought was great. That boy doesn't put up with anything hehe!

With the LARGE amount of Jellies floating at the surface, I could see wanting to wear them this week. And before you say it, some of them have the dangling bits that sting the crap out of you, as my neck will attest. That being said, gloves aren't my thing and it would not have helped my neck.

Stupid rule that punishes everyone because a few people do bad things.
