I'm making a first time trip to Roatan with my family over the holidays. ( 4 divers ) We are staying in west bay near Mayan Princess resort.

I've found 3 local dive shops , Bananarama, West Bay, Mayan, plus West End ( in west end ). Does anyone have a recommendation? Prices for 10 dives range from $350 - $470 pp. The problem with west end divers is the water taxi ride to-from. We can walk to the other three.

Thanks for any help provided

Mark Washington at Mayan Princess is a really great divemaster. If you decide to go elsewhere, there's another option you didn't mention - Las Rocas Resort, which is located at the end of West Bay Beach. We have been diving with the owners of this shop for a number of years and have built up quite a loyalty and trust with them. I think wherever you decide to settle, you'll have a great time!
