We'll be in Coz next week (2nd week in June); are whale shark trips worth doing this early in the season? I'd hate to blow an entire day on the ferry and on buses (and the $$) instead of diving on Coz, if it's not going to be primo. Thanks.

As far as I know this is the season (June through August). ProDive and many of the other companies guarantee that you will swim with the sharks or they reschedule your trip for free.

Reports yesterday suggest right now at least with the moon phase, yada yada, the whalesharking has been terrific.

I just got back from Coz....booked the whale shark trip through BlueH2o on the web, saved $40.00 right off the bat for that. We were very early in the season, actually June 3. It took us a while, but we did see and swam with 2 whale sharks. The seas were very rough and we were in a panga 3 hours out until we saw the first one, but it was all worth it. Definitely bucket list stuff. On the way back, the crew stopped by Isla Mujeres, let us jump out and get wet again while they fixed the best ceviche and guac I ever had. Refreshments, beer, chips, etc. All this and a 100% money back guarantee if we didnt see and swim with a whale shark. I would have loved to have a bigger boat, but you just cant get a better deal. Many thanks to John

Are these photos you take on your charter JFS? I'll have a GoPro with selfie stick but those images are very clear and well framed.

Yes , all images on Blue H2o site were done by me. I go several times a week to see whale sharks with our groups so have lots of photos over the years.:D

I actually spoke with you today John :)

As of this afternoon my whale shark adventure is booked with H20, I really appreciate the call right back and answering all of my "touristy" questions (it was really hard to make contact with other operators). Looking forward to it!

Whale shark activity has picked up this past week. We have been seeing a lot more whale sharks and even more mantas. weather conditions have been awesome as well.

This is awesome! We are getting pretty excited, just a couple weeks left!

EDIT: Are you using any filters? I assumed we would be too shallow for filters.
