Alright. I'v ordered my last mask online that wasn't what I expected. So off to SB to get a consensus. I have dove an Oceanic Shadow forever but after one recently exploded on my face during a giant stride and decided to re-enter the world of a million masks. After a few trial and errors I came across the ScubaPro Trufit line. The Spectra was a little narrow but the Synergy Twin was money! The soft silicone skirt is the shiznit and I'm never turning back. However it's a 2 lens mask and I really need a frame less single lens in my quiver. So I started looking around and noticed a lot of questionable marketing by companies claiming soft silicone skirts like the Mares Essence I recently picked up. To my dismay numerous purchases have been failures. I think the only other mask for sure with the soft silicone skirt is the Atomic Venom. Maybe the Cressi Big Eye Evolution but I'm not sure. I have a wide face and am searching for that true silicone single lens frame less black mask. So please. Someone tell me it exists!
Oh. And BTW. I now have a ScubaPro Spectra Trufit and Mares Essence Liquidskin for sale now. Sigh...

The Atomic Frameless (1) is so soft I have to be careful not to squish it against my face, when putting it back on under water, so I can clear it. Don't know about the width.

Have a used Atomic 1 for sale now. Its feels like the foot pocket of my fin compared to the Trufit type skirts. Every mask should be like this now.

I find the Atomic to be a very comfortable mask, it's the only mask I've ever owned that never leaks and I've had A LOT of masks. Good luck with your search, I have found finding a good fitting mask and good fitting fins to be the most frustrating and expensive quest in relation to scuba equipment. I've gone through enough masks and fins to open a shop.

Atomic Frameless. I am not sure what you mean by soft or real silicone? Almost all masks made today are silicone. Some are softer than others. The SP Frameless is medium soft, even a little firm. The Atomic is soft but not extremely soft, comparable to the old Mares X-Vision.

I bought a Mares X-Vision and it leaked something shocking, I gave it to a dive op I was diving with.

They only have the "Trufit" material on the Spectra and Synergy 2. Its a world apart from what we are use too. Heard the Venom is similar but spendy especially if not a perfect fit. Was hoping to find something in the other line ups thats comparable. Anyone else with a Spectra, Synergy, or Venom that finds the skirt to be superior in fit? Mine leaves zero marks, seals like a champ even with a gag strap on my dsv, and pulls super close to my face. I seriously think most manufactures are going to follow suit.

My X-Vision is my second best fit only behind the Atomic Frameless, go figure. My wife loves hers. But, I am talking about the softness of the silicone, not the shape or fit. But, most masks fit me fine.

If you took away my Atomic Frameless mask... I might give up diving. (Well, you'd need to also take away my Atomic Frameless backup mask too.)

Note - Atomic masks come in two sizes, make sure you try the other if the first one doesn't fit right.

I had the wide. Not wide enough I guess. Anyway. Point is. As comparison. The new ish is like the difference between silicone seals and latex. Its noticeable.
