Mares Dragon pull cord replacement

I'm still green on this ScubaBoard, but glad to join this.

The pull cord on my inflator broke and wanted to replace it so I removed the inflator assembly and it doesn't appear I can remove and repair the cord. Attached are some photos and it looks like the assembly cannot be removed, it might have been glued?

Any suggestions? I'm okay if I have to buy a new assembly, but would rather try to repair first. Also will other brands fit this, I'm not married to the brand.

Pretty sure the Mares Dragon is like 99% of the OPV's out there. Simply unscrew the OPV, carefully remove the rubber seal, that exposes the cord. Make a knot and pass the new cord through the OPV, spring and cover. Route as you wish and reconnect your pull. Make sense ?

It makes sense, however, I can't unscrew the cover. The photo's didn't go through the last time, but just posted them. Thanks!
 
To access the top part of the valve, unscrew the front part.
