Anyone have a good experience they want to share? Any charter recommendations? I don't really care if I snorkel or scuba with them I just want to experience them!
Just booked a trip to Coz in August, I want to hang with Whale Sharks!

Well, John at Pelagic Visions runs trips: https://www.facebook.com/pelagic.visions?fref=ts from Cozumel. I haven't used him but he donated a couple trips and some dive training for the fundraiser for the local girl that got hit by a drunk foreigner so he must be a good guy. He is here on SB.
We used my van guy to pick us up in Playa after the taking the 0600 ferry and take us to Punta Sam by Cancun. There we met two boats from Keen M https://www.facebook.com/KeenMBlue?fref=ts I had like 12 people, so we chartered the two boats. The price was very good and their boats are more like fishing boat size, rather than lil' panga. They were very comfortable for the ride up and back. We stopped for lunch inside a reef and did a little snorkeling. It was a very nice day. I really don't think I would wanted to have made the run way up there with some of the small boats. Some looked packed like a snorkel boat on Paridiso.

And hang with them you can. August is a good time. The permits were just released last friday and tours have just started. We can take care of you whether you are in Cozumel or staying anywhere from Playa del Carmen up to Cancun.

One thing you'll notice on all the websites is no scuba gear - it's against the law in Mexico to actively dive with them.

Here is one in the water. I was surprised how small they were compared to what I expected:

I always tell people to look around when you are snorkeling. The whale sharks have a big appetite.

Are these photos you take on your charter JFS? I'll have a GoPro with selfie stick but those images are very clear and well framed.

Hey, I'll be in Cozumel in August and booked with ProDive Mexico to do the Whale Shark Safari! They were high rated on TripAdvisor and the price was decent.
