I think I’m ready to make my first Zeagle purchase.

I haven't heard anything bad about Zeagle regs, but would also encourage you to look around on that front. I swear by Atomic for reasons of quality and customer service; others think HOG is just as good at a much lower price. If you want a diaphram reg (as I think the Zeagles you mentioned are), Apeks makes some great ones.

I for one am not impressed with my Flathead 6. In the first 6 months that I owned it it needed repairs. If I remember correctly there was a problem with the high pressure seal(?) It worked fine for the last couple of years until some months ago when the IP crept up to about 200 psi. Had it adjusted and shortly after that it crept up again. This reg is serviced, has not been abused in any way and only has maybe 50 fresh water dives on it. To make matters worse, it has taken several weeks so far for my dive shop to get parts. A couple of weeks ago Jeff said they'd be shipping kits out to their dealers the next week. I'm hoping that they arrive soon. Thank goodness I have 4 other regs to use.
On the plus side, I have no complaints about how the reg worked when it was working, I just think that it should have fewer issues in only 3 or so years. I also think that the parts supply situation is unacceptable.

There is no end to the opinions out when I was researching gear, but I absolutely love my Stilleto... It was a gift from the family for a milestone birthday. My wife and I both dive Flathead 7's and again love them. Just make sure whatever you end up getting it can be serviced relatively close to home unless you want to ship. We get our regs serviced yearly aprox 30 minutes from home!

As an update on my Flathead 6 issue, Jeff has been very prompt in working out a solution to the issue. I'm impressed!
