My issue with Nitrox is the narrowing of the safety margins not weather 1.4 is better or worse then 1.6. In my opinion the safety margins are very important to the divers who do not fit into the profile of the people these tables were designed around. Again, I am sure you can show me on paper that by these tables your calculations are correct but that applies only to the people the tables were designed for. Again, I do not see too many in shape divers when I am out on a charter. I know Nitrox sells more training and equipment for the LDS but I think it is at increased risk to the diver and for not much gain.
