Not entirely sure I understand your question. I tried my long sleeve lava core under my 2x FJ and was actually colder wearing it than not wearing it, go figure.

Well, I have the Lavacore full suit & the Lavacore long sleeve shirt. My thinking is that if I layered these 2, my 'core' should be warmer but then again maybe not..... Just wondering if anyone has tried it or if Lavacore recommends not to layer their products.

ah ok I understand, sorry cant help with that. Must say I'm a little disappointed with the thermal properties, or seemingly lack of of the lava core, for me anyway. Hopefully Lava core will actually answer your question,

Since Lavacore products aren't made to fit tightly and block water flow, but rather to layer under wetsuits, I'd guess that layering a Lavacore shirt under a Lavacore full suit wouldn't do much in the way of warmth.

For me, having a long-sleeved Lavacore shirt has made an enormous difference in not getting cold as quickly as without it. One thing I've learned from friends though, NEVER pee in your suit when you're wearing a Lavacore....you'll never get the stench out of it!

Thanks for your input!! My full suit was more than enough for me this past summer in Cozumel. I tend to get cold easy & usually wear a full 3 ml that time of year & in March I wear a 5 ml. I'll thinking my 3 ml & Lavacore full suit or even just the shirt should replace the 5.

MiraZyme Enzyme-Based Odor Eliminator works great. I dive steel 100's and tend to have LONG bottom times

Completely wet things inside a wetsuit provide little, if any, insulation potential. Water readily conducts heat. Gasses not so much.
