In America, class separation has been replaced by those who work their tail off in education, who work their tail off and get good jobs, save money, and they are able to spend it on any upgrades they want.

I suspect the only way to achieve true egalitarianism is to bring everyone down to the least common denominator. Those who can finagle a way to get ahead & get better won't settle for that. Neither capitalism nor communism is perfect, but I prefer the former.

The people who comes to the north, work their a$$ off, frequently as slaves, frequently get nowhere. If they do eventually move out of indentured servitude though multiple generations, the mostly likely place in society they will reside is as wage slaves.

I know there are classism in all places, but they are usually isolated to different places. You could have the fat cats spending their summers in the French Riviera, but rarely have seen the separating of classes openly visible in the same resort. I don't see VIP class on the dive boats.

I work the graveyard shift and frequently work overtime shifts so that my family can have more play money...I will be working Thanksgiving this year, because someone has to, but I may get Christmas off for the first time in many years. FAT CAT? What color is the sky in your world? My spouse and I work and save money and then spend it in frugally in some places so that my family can enjoy it in others....FAT CAT?? Not hardly
