We are looking to teach an Instructor Level Hog Reg Repair Class and a Consumer Level Reg Repair Class at DEMA this year. Are you interested in attending?

The Instructor Level will allow you, a current SDI/TDI Instructor, to be able to teach divers how to repair their own Hog Regs. You will need to hold 3 reg repair Certificates from different manufacturers to show your competence in repairing. This will be a quick 2 hour class, and is ONLY for those that know what they are doing in regards to regulator repairs. - Possibly taught 2 days. There will also be an O2 Cleaning class offered for those that take this class

The Consumer level class will allow you, a current diver holding a Technical Certification, to be able to repair your own regs. Tools are needed to be purchased for class as well as repair kits. You will rebuild your own regs, so you must also own your Hog regs. This will be a LONG 8 hour class going over FULLY how to rebuild your own Hog Regs. This class is for anyone...although not everyone passes just because they sign up for the class. This class will most likely be taught on Saturday.

Both classes will have the Hog Repair Manual available for purchase upon completion of the course.

These will be taught at DEMA, and we are curious as to the amount of interest. You do not need to be attending DEMA or buying a DEMA badge to attend the Consumer level class.

I am interested in the consumer level class dependent on cost. Can you either post or PM me the costs for attending.

Also wondering if you will be covering all three types of first stages (BP, D1, and D2)? Somehow I ended up with a couple of each :)

You can see the info on the consumer class here (forgot to post it):
Technical Diving - Hog Regulator Repair Class

Pretty sure it covers all 3 first stages, but I will find out for you

The class will NOT cover the BP1 , balanced Piston first stages. It was originally intended and taught for the D1 only. The D2 can be added in fairly easily, but the balance piston is a completely different animal and their won't be enough time in the already lengthy class to also go over that one.

There will be another class in Chicago this February, at the Our World Underwater Show. We may have one sooner with enough interest.

We are 100% offering one at DEMA, just figuring out the dates, times, and logistics of the whole thing. Stay tuned for more

OK, the consumer price has gone up a bit. It is $250/person based on the room pricing and a couple other expenses. You will need to bring all the tools, your D1 or D2 regulator, service kits, have a Tech Diving Certification Card, have purchased and read thru the Reg Savvy Book . More info can be seen here:

This class is LIMITED to 8 people, and will fill up fast. The class will be held:

Comfort Inn
6101 Sand Lake Rd., Orlando, FL
Gardenia room all day Saturday, the 5th Nov, starting at 8am

Steven Anderson will be teaching, and this will be a very thorough class that all levels of repair techs will enjoy. Please sign up ASAP to reserve your spot and don't wait to study the materials and get your tools. Anyone not prepared for this class ( studied, tools, parts, etc.) can and will be tossed from the class so as not to slow down the entire class and punish those that did everything properly. It is simple....COME PREPARED
