So I have a TDI Intro to Tech class on Monday and was just trying to set up my rig, making sure everything is in order before the class, since I have not dived with doubles or a BP/W before. I was just wondering on which post you guys put everything.

So far, I have this:
Right hand side post:
-Main second stage with long hose

Left hand side post:
-SPG
-Secondary 2nd stage(that sounds weird)

So on which post do you put the power inflator hose and the dry suit inflation hose? You put them on different posts so in case of a free flow or another event where you need to shut off one post, you retain buoyancy control, right? I have an Apeks WTX6 wing and the power inflator hose seems longer than needed to reach the left hand side post to me. Should I put on the right hand post and put the dry suit inflation hose on the left side post?

My regs are Tek 3s if it matters.

mpen,
Nice link thank you for it

Here's my cold water setup. The hose labeled "Ignore" is for the BCD.

I don't get this. How does using an argon bottle negate the need to have a BC and BC hose??? You're running your BC off the argon bottle? Why?

Thanks mpen, great link!

Thanks craracer, very helpful.

Same Andy, thanks.

Looks like I might have to get a shorter PI hose, it loops a bit behind my head. Here's how I set it up. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures.

Tomorrow I'm adjusting the back plate's height so I can reach the valves easily in my dry suit.

These sound like excellent questions for your instructor... Why not take notes and ask him... isn't that why you are taking the class?
