I just booked my first trip to Bonaire for November, going to fly out of CLT, never heard of Insel Air but great price from Travelocity, round trip air for two, less than $750.

I'm excited, any advice for Bonaire?

Thanks for the info Sunshine! I have not yet been to Bonaire because fights are so expensive and it usually involves an overnight flight. I checked the Insel website and Travelocity, and cannot find any information on Insel leaving Charlotte:confused6:

It really is amazing that our airport was back to 100% capacity a few days after taking a direct hit from an EF4 tornado. I feel especially bad for those in the South who were devastated by the strong tornadoes.

I really am pathetic - already planning our dive vacation in Jan. Seems every time we plan a trip to Bonaire, we always gravitate back towards Curacao ;)

we just got a flight from CLT-BON about 1060 for 2 with fees/taxes. dep 2:30PM arrive BON 9:30PM 2 hr layover in CUR for 8/20-8/27/2011

I am thinking of booking the same trip for next March. The thing that concerns me is the return flight. From what I gather, it leaves Bonaire at 7:40 arrives Curacao at 8:10 you have to change planes then depart Curacao at 9:10. This may be ok if you are able to check bags all the way through in Bonaire and clear immigration in Bonaire. I'm worried that 1 hour connection won't be enough otherwise. An email inquiry to Insel hasn't been responded to (sent about 24 hours ago).

Please let us know what Insel says in their response. I'm on the same flight for November, of course if I miss the flight maybe a few days waiting on the next flight in Curacao wouldn't be too bad.
