I guess expensive is a relative term. I don't have very much money at all so $60 for a new compass is expensive. I was looking for something in the $25 range.

I don't think I have ever heard of an expensive compass.

um ... i guess some people just have too much money ...

the uwatec FS-1 and suunto sk7 (arguably the two best)
Suunto sk7 for $95

Amazon.com: Suunto SK7 Retractable Compass: Sports & Outdoors

and

FS-1 was about $80 if you could still find one ...

but i suppose if you are making or have so much money, $80-$95 for a compass is "cheap" for the rest of us, $15 -$45 may foot the bill:confused:

After seeing your post this am, I dug out an old suunto. Black wedding strap, brass latch, square body design, no model #. Seems to work fine though. Used it for training students in the late 90's
25.00 plus shipping.
Call me w/ cc# if interested

Exactly Ronzo. $100 bucks for a compass is not cheap to me. If I bought that I wouldn't be able to dive for a month :shocked2:

Thanks for the offer on the compass but I think I have a deal in the works. Also I find it a bit weird to call you with my CC #. I'd prefer something like paypal, its safer for the both of us. I'll let you know if the deal falls through.

If your deal falls thru, I may have a uwatec FS-1 that I am willing to part with for $35.00 delivered.

um... wasnt me about cc#.... i agree with your statement on that and if i were you, id take jim up on the fs-1 for $35 ... i paid $80 for mine, have owned a few different ones, and always go back to the fs-1 ... for me, its the best ...
