Some years ago, there was a thread arguing about the topic of whether masks should be worn on the forehead, or whether this was a sign of intense stupidity/ incompetence/ certain death. The thread grew to giant proportions, then went off-topic in a spectacular way to become an enormous chatroom (and an attempt to create Scubabboard's longest thread). The original thread is still in the archives, its descendant still thrives over in the surface interval. MOFers and NMOFers sometimes show their positions in their sig lines.
What you talk'n about ?

what it has become is .. a way to make friends, meet and interact with them, discuss diving and ask questions to your friends that you might be reluctant to post "out here"
... and because of friends made there, and their graciousness, I've been on dive trips that I would not have been able to make otherwise

It's a cult. :D

I'm confused, which admittedly is not very hard, but can someone clarify please? If I think its wrong to have a "MOF" does that make me NMOF?

It's a silly argument in the making is what it is. I started diving long before this became an "issue", and I have never seen anyone react to a MOFH diver as tho they were in distress.

Yes, only those of us who believe wearing your mask on your forehead is "ok" are MOF. :crafty:

HELP! I am in distress...can't you tell? I see so many people with their mask on their foreheads I just do not pay any attention.

Dude, I WANT that camera housing! I have a Rolleiflex TLF that would fit PERFECTLY in that thing!

Nope, unless you are obnoxious and think anyone with a MOF is asking for the number for 911 and should drown from all the water coming off of the mask on their forehead.:D

I've often had a mask on my forehead; its called a helmet... LOL What's the big deal anyway? Don't you carry a spare? :)

I tried getting with the 'mask-on-forehead' crowed but it effected my vision while diving.

Now I am a 'mask-on-face' guy or MOF....oh wait.
