Hello,
I have always wanted to scuba. But really started researching it 3 days ago. I went to 3 different dive shops today and chose one and signed up. I got the Padi kit and will study it this weekend, then will start the classroom part on monday. Feeling nervous and excited at the same time! Thank You.

Oh youll find that the nervousness was all for nothing. Its quiet natural to be nervous but youll find it fun and relaxing even in class to just sit back and enjoy the quality time underwater.

Im glad you decided to join the ranks of divers in the world for what is in my opinion one of the most outstanding sports known to man. Good luck and make sure to let us know how it goes

Congratulations on pulling the trigger! Enjoy your class, and come back and tell us about it.

I'm a newbie too and after 22 dives I will never forgive myself for waiting so long. Nervous? Hell yeah! Right up until you notice that you are breathing underwater with the fishes. Then it's all gravy my friend. Knowledge is power. Just remember, you are only as good as you wish to be. Learn everything you can from everyone and never stop learning. It's a good metaphor for life as well.
Good Diving
Have Fun
Get Wet

Thank You for your words. Very encouraging to me. It has helped. I feel more confident now. Thanks.

Lol once you start just remember surface intervals are needed and sleep is a must. Youll have so much fun diving you may even pick your mail up at the local dive spot :D

Thanks for saying your glad i joined the ranks of divers. That means alot to me. I am going to do my best at this and overcome some fears. If you read my post in the intros, you will see i had a terrifying encounter with a shark at 10 years old. I can't wait to pass the course and be certified, then can proudly and boldy say "I am a certified Diver!". I think that will gain a lot of respect. Thank You.

Hey fellow AZ diver! Where did you end up signing up for classes at? I just finished my cert 2 weeks ago. Are you planning to do your exit dives at Lake Pleasant?

Hello! I signed up at AZ Diver, Bell and 40th. St. And yes, will be doing my exit dives at Lake Pleasant. Anything you can tell me about it would be great. Congrats on getting yours done. Can i PM you? Thanks.

This is such a common story! My ex-wife (still a very good friend) was afraid to try for years. She finally let me certify her as a diver after many, many years of watching me do all that we do. She was instantly hooked and one year later was beginning her ITC! She's now been an instructor for almost 10 years!

Congrats and welcome underwater with the rest of us! You'll never look at the ocean the same again!
