My wife and I are headed to Grenada for a week. Until today, I haven't done a ton of research on Diving Grenada and getting started now, since this has been planned primarily as a spa vacation. However, as avid divers, we are now contemplating on what we may be missing if we don't dive the island at least a couple of dives. So what are the recommendations for making a few dives in Grenada? Thanks in advance...

Hi Triton17,

My wife and I stayed at True Blue Bay and dove with Aquanauts right there at the resort. They also have a location and make pickups on the main beach.

We were favorably impressed with the overall outfit and recommend them highly. As an added bonus, they were at that time offering a free nitrox deal. It is well worth asking about to see if it is still going on!

Here's a link to the report I did on that... http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/le...vesergeants-grenada-trip-report-part-1-a.html

Aquanauts website is Dive Grenada with the Scuba Diving Center Aquanauts Grenada.

Thanks DS! - Would you (or anyone checking out this thread0 have a Top 5 Dive Sites around the Isle of Grenada that we should target for our trip?

We dove with Aquanauts in November also. They had a lot of British divers who enjoyed all the various dive sites that week. The crew was great. We enjoyed diving with them and would do so again.

Hi there...I would recommend having a look at Dive Grenada and ScubaTech to get an idea of the dive sites available. Depending on where you stay...Dive Grenada are just below The Flamboyant and Mount Cinnamon, great outfit run by a British couple who installed the Underwater Marine Park. ScubaTech is a German outfit who offer Nitrox courses and are based out of The Calabash. Bianca C is the most challenging dive, so that's a must, weather permitting.

For wreck dives, we liked the Bianca C and the Shakem. We don't penetrate, just check them out.

Flamingo Bay was a great dive, with a flock of juvenile drums.

The marine park was always a favorite; not the sculptures, the lots of marine critters there were cool. I found the sculptures boring, but others like them.

At Lighthouse Reef the Mrs actually saw a shark and an Eagle Ray.. I mistakemly noted this as Shark Reef in my report.

Hope this helps.

Dive Grenada was wonderful (for our certification OW) last November. Mt Cinnamon great hotel. We plan to return to both in the near future.

Hi Guys, I am biased as I own Dive Grenada but please don't miss out on some of the Caribbeans finest diving, We are known as the Caribbeans 'Wreck Diving Capital' including the Bianca C known as the 'Titanic of the Caribbean' we also have some stunning reefs and the very unique 'Underwater Sculpture Park'. Don't miss out on Grenada's fantastic diving, even if you don't dive with me. Check out our feedback page on our website to see what other divers have said about us.....

Hi owner of Dive Grenada. Strong possibility we'll be diving with you in August cause some non-diving friends are staying at Mount Cinnamon and I hear you're the op on site. :D Super excited as we've been reading about the diving in Grenada.
