Is it a sign that I am a damaged person when I say that it was that mentality that got me to go and GET certified? From the time I was a little kid I was a fish, and it didn't matter much what body of water it was. I can remember dragging the garden hose into the pool, trying to suck air through it and playing "ScubaDude"!

I am from Minnesota indeed but I am studying abroad in Australia for 5 months so I got my certification taken care of here!

Congrats. It's experiencing first time sites with passionate divers and instructors that gives you the high. The more comfortable you get with yourself in the water the more you see. As a new diver I tend to catch myself thinking through my process and sometimes miss seeing things. I have been lucky enough to dive with others that include me in their observations. Enjoy!!
