The SEC has won the last 4 BCS Championships. and 6 of the total 11 since BCS was created.

Florida 2 wins
Tennessee 1 win
LSU 2 wins
Bama 1 win

(since 1998 when BCS was started.)

Last thought on that title game: gotta give props to Texas QB Garrett Gilbert. Coming in unexpectedly as a true freshman, getting the heck beat out of you, and still having the mental toughness to come back in the second half and throw for 190 yards and 2 TDs against that defence - hats off to you, sir.

You didn't win, but you never quit, and you can play for my team any time.

I thought Gilbert did a heck of a job. I mean he got thrown in the fire and played pretty well for the most part. The rest he will learn with experience. In the next couple years, he'll be a weapon for Texas.

here is an interesting article about the game and both Texas quarter backs. It's worth reading.
It covers what happened with McCoy in the locker room and how he and the team reacted.

ok.... Lane Kiffin is such a wimp ass puss.

He couldn't hack it starting in the SEC.... had to run his mouth the whole time.... but, he couldn't hack it either when his players kept getting arrested and he wasn't winning games to cover what his big mouth was saying...

apparently he couldn't hack being a coach in the SEC either.....

good riddance.....

What a clown! Does not speak much of USC as Tenn is under suspicion of numerous NCAA violations.

A post I saw on facebook about this said that

Payback to UT, $800,000. Plane ticket to La $560.00. Seeing USC lose scholarships for 10 years due to NCAA violations....priceless.

I bet He won't make it at USC... he'll be gone within 3-4 years. (if that)

I bet Phil Fulmer is laughing his ass off....

It's amazing how Kiffin's departure makes Tennessee instantly a bit more tolerable. I hate it for the players but I'm glad to see him go.
