Thats horrible. Hope you get well soon and are able to dive before you have to go home to the snow. :consolation:

ok- here it comes...the summary of my trip to Coz last week. Flew in on Wednesday, dove two dives on Thursday under cloudy skies so viz was just so-so. The harbor was closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday due to bad weather and white cap waves...but that didn't matter to me because I was "deathly ill" and had to call the doctor to my hotel room for a shot and pills. Kept throwing up until Sunday when I was so dehydrated I had to be admitted to the hospital for two days. What fish?? What reefs? What sharks? Couldn't prove them by me:depressed:...but boy can I tell you a few things about a Mexican hospital :rofl3:
Heard there was a pod of 12 dolphin, some beautiful starfish and two lionfish on one of the dives I was suppose to be on.....but I only saw four white walls and the bottom of trashcans.:shakehead:
Better diving to everyone else !!!!

Darn, that's too bad. I was sick like that in Acapulco one time and I still don't know where I picked it up? My wife says a bar.:D My wife get's one of her Doctor buddies to prescribe some Cipro for me ever since and I never go abroad without it just in case. I feel for you, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, things just happen sometimes.

The doc that came to my room gave me a shot and Cipro....I got sicker after taking that, so I'm not sure I want to try it again. :D.... Merry Christmas to you and yours. too.

Holy Krimenee..... We were there! Scary if it was the food. We must have dodged that bullet. That is a shame. We didnt go out on Friday and Saturday, though I think the port opened late on at least Saturday. I went on Sunday and it wasnt bad. Gonna do a real trip report. I was looking for a DWM boat to see who was getting on it. Sorry we missed meeting you. (or maybe not if you were 'sharing'....) :coolingoff:

Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas.

You are correct about the harbor being open for afternoon dives on Saturday, but it was closed in the morning. It was closed again on Sunday to smaller boats, but anything over 40' could go out. When we arrived, I kept asking everyone I thought could be you if they were cvchief, but alas you managed to avoid me "like the plague":D Not sure if food caused my problem...but noone else got sick. Going to my doc Tuesday and hope to get some answers then.
Maybe we'll meet next December..have a great Holiday season

I would have been the "jolly" (read chubby) guy in the orange coolibar on the dock. Alternatively we had my father along with us (total 6) and he was guy sort of shuffling slowly to and from. I think the harbor thing on Sunday got confused. If I recall what Alison said, the harbor master was originally holding for the 1000 weather then some boats when anyway, then they said all go. I didnt think Sunday was any worse than Monday. The wife and nephew bailed on Sunday, "oh its too wavey....." Bah, I went to dive so I am diving if at all possible. If I hadnt I wouldnt have seen the Eagle Rays!!! I was just me and Michael the vet. Like a private charter. COOL....

Alright...rub it in !!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only rays I got to see were the sunrays comng in my window. I specifically changed our vacation dates to a week later this year in hopes of seeing my favorite Eagles..but alas it was not to be.

Pidgiepoo, I'm so sorry to hear that you got so sick. This is the first time I've been back on SB since I returned on the 17th. Did you happen to drink any non-bottled water anywhere? That could have done it.

BTW, earlier in this thread you asked if a 3mm was enough to stay warm. I was okay in the 3/2, but I think I would have been better in a 5mm.
