I wanted to ask everyone who is coming tommorow what you would rather do. Do you want to mess around with getting distances or would you rather just play and take pictures? I am up for either idea as I could try and get some distances on the second dive if conditions allow. I just wanted to know if I should charge up my batteries for my camera or not. So what do y'all think????

Either would be fine with me. I just want to try some readjustments I have made to my bp/wing. It might be easier to check that out on a site seeing dive and then on the second dive we could take measurements when I am not fighting to keep my trim.

I'm just coming to learn the area, I just moved out here and want to learn all the beach dives so I can dive for cheap =) So whatever you guys want to do i'm up for.

Walter, since you are working on mapping the site...it would be interesting to provide a site map that also includes some pictures. IF conditions are good for the first dive, maybe we could make the rounds and try to get some pictures of some of the major structures. Those pictures could be used in conjunction with a map to help people know what to look for. Then when people inquire about this site, we simply point them to a post that contains the map, as well as pictures top and bottom side.

As I said, depending up visibility...we could spend the first dive just covering the site, taking some pictures, and letting everyone see the various locations. On the second dive, we could actually start measuring, and I could document that process with some pictures also. Those that do a second dive, can either help measure, or just cruise around and enjoy the sites.

But, I am open to anything. I will bring my camera just in case. I have to bring my camera, with Denise diving....you never know what you might get a picture of!:D

Sounds like a great plan. I will start charging my camera batteries now.

Just to make sure here is the list of people coming tommorow:

1. wjefferis
2. glenfwb
3. denisegg
4. standard11
5. sontek

If there is anyone else wanting to show up, please feel free to come. Just make sure to post on this thread so that we will know to wait for you or make sure you are there on site early so that we don't leave you.

:depressed:..Dang. But on a happy note, I am buying the annual pass so I'll be back. :D

Denise, since we are arriving so early you probably won't be able to buy a season pass on the way in. You will most likely have to get it on the way out at the old ranger station.

What time does the gate open? Can we still get in?
