Apparently our NC Sand Tigers are very docile. Similar species off the coasts of Africa and Australia are not as docile.

I think what you call sand tigers are what we call tigers. At least I think that's what Almitywife said.

I'm more afraid of sea urchins, a load of jelly fish and some bad a$$ damselfish than I am of sand tigers.

I know there have been sighting of White Sharks out there, does anyone know if there has been sightings of Tiger Sharks out there?

Where? In NC?

Where? In NC?

One of the diver operators out of the NC Coast somewhere had a video they had shot from their boat of a great white around and under the boat. If I find it, I'll link to it.

I've heard, 1st person, from two divers, not known to each other, that dive the NC area a lot and for years, about there is always and annual sighting.

Great White on the wreck of the Atlas Tanker.

I'll be honest here. I'm pretty sure I'd soil myself if I saw a Great White out there. It would be exhilarating, but I'd soil myself.

Sharks are all around, Great Whites even roam in the gulf of St-Lawrence. There was an attack many years ago that claimed four lives. Two Dorys with two fishermen each were attacked and swamped when one ore more GW got into a feeding frenzy. It seems the fishermen were gutting their catch and dumping the stuff over board. Talk about heavy chumming.

Sharks don't attack divers in general, they mostly avoid them. Any diver in salt water would be surprised to know that sharks are present in his environment more than 80% of the time without him knowing of their presence.

I doubt it. You'd be too much in awe of how beautiful they are:
