Does anyone have information on the 2nd annual Mote dive festival?

The 2nd Annual Pirate Coast Mote Dive Festival takes place May 1 - May 3, 2009 at Siesta Public Beach on Siesta Key. Featuring seminars, exhibitors, food, music and pirates, the festival is also a benefit for Marine Laboratory Dive Operations. (941) 388-4441

Wonderful! I am looking forward to attending! Last year we had family in town so we were only able to spend a few minutes at the festival. This year they are gunna have to drag me away!

Anyone hear news when the clean-up is going to be held?

Was there a 2nd annual Mote dive festival this weekend? I drove out to Siesta Key and looked around but didn't see anything. New to area so could have been in wrong place, but went to where it was last year, or so I thought I did, found the parking lot I circle around in for an hour again. lol. I was just curious if it was there I'd try again tomorrow. Thanks Laura

Does not seem like you missed anything. My understanding is that they could never get it together. It was done last year the weekend after the annual reef cleanup and sadly that was canceled this year as well.
