I've got a Seaquest BCD with Airsource. I want to change all of my LP hoses to Miflex. When I compare my Airsource male fitting to the Seaquest and Scubapro fittings, mine looks more like a Scubapro fitting. Before I buy the Miflex LP hose and connector for my Airsource, I want to be sure of what I am buying. I'm including a photo of my male fitting. Somebody please confirm what I have. Seaquest or Scubapro fitting? Thanks!!

That is not the Scubapro Air2 fitting. I am not familiar with the SQ fitting.

Yeah I am not sure what that fitting is, but it is not ScubaPro.

Thanks for the confirmations that I don't have a Scubapro fitting on my Airsource. I feel more confident at buying a Seaquest coupler with a new Miflex reg hose now.

Thanks for the thread pointer. Unfortunately, the LP hose that came with my Airsource isn't a standard reg hose. Seaquest went with a Hansen coupler which screws directly onto a male fitting on the hose (internal threads on the coupler), instead of using a reg hose fitting. Both ends of the hose look like the fitting you would screw into the LP port on the 1st stage. So, I'll have to buy a new Seaquest alt air coupler and a Miflex reg hose to do the job. No big deal.

Thanks guys. That pretty much settles it. I'm ordering the Miflex reg and alt air hoses today. A set for me and a set for the boss (wife). :D

Ok, this whole thing is making me nuts. I ordered the Miflex hose with "Seaquest" style alt air adapter from Divesports. Recently had the chance to put it on a tank with my Seaquest BCD, and the thing leaks air like crazy!!!! Not a good seal at all, or anything close to that.

I'm attaching a photo I took comparing my original adapter that came with my BCD to the adapter I ordered with the Miflex hose. My original is on the right. Somebody please take a look at their Seaquest and/or Scubapro alt air adapter and compare what you see in this photo. Take a photo of yours and post it if you want, but I need to know what's going on here. Is my adapter on the right Seaquest or Scubapro???

Call Divesports and talk to them about the problem. I recognize the fitting on the left as the same as a Beuchat Octo/Inflator fitting. I don't recognize the fitting on the right but I also can not see any obvious material difference from the one on the right. Pictures may just not be clear enough. I'm sure if you direct Phil to this thread he will take a look and figure out what is going on.

I've already emailed Phil at Divesports and am waiting to hear back from him, but thought I'd check here on Scubaboard as well. In the photo comparing the 2 adapters, there's a definite difference between the inner diameter of the seats. My Airsource male fitting goes into the adapter on the left ok, but the seat itself has a smaller inner diameter and won't allow the male fitting to seal. The lack of a proper seal causes a serious air leak.

Just for information, the adapter that came with my Seaquest BCD (on the right in the photo) is made by Hansen Coupling. I would think there has to be other SB members that have come across this same problem. I can't be the only one.
