I am currently planning a 1 week diving trip for mid-late april. Unfortunalty, none of my 2 regular dive budies will be available.

Does any one here have a good suggestion? I would be leaving from either MontrñÂl airport or Burlington Vt airport.

Thanks!

If you can go in May I have a solo diver looking for a divebuddy to go to San Andres Island for a week and then on to Old Providence Island for a week.
Ciao

 more information please!!!
Where do you want to go? Caribbean, Pacific, small island, large resort?
How about a liveaboard? Many unaccompanied divers go on liveaboards and buddy up with someone there.
Budget?
Do you want to join up with a group or do you want to stay by yourself and just looking for a good location?

I have a group going to Bonaire on May 30..out of Newark ..pm if interesterd.

The only "solo trips" I have ever made to dive - were either with a dive group (Which I do not consider solo) or a liveaboard.

I would look to join a group

A good suggestion for what? Where to go diving? How to find a dive buddy? A place that caters to single divers?

A week isn't much time. I'd go to the closest place that's warm - which I guess is Florida. On the other two questions I posted - I wouldn't worry about it. Single divers are accommodated everywhere I've been. I've never arranged a trip with someone else or a group - always gone by myself. It's a good way to go.

Good luck!

Thanks Tad but with only one week of vacation, I don't want to spend to much time in planes and airport. However, I added your link to my favorites. My wife and I will give it a closer look for our next two weeks long December vacation.

You are right, I didn't give much info. I did it on purpose so I could get more suggestions.

However, some constraints must be taken in account: only 1 week and leaving from Montreal Qc or Burlington VT (don't want to spend 2-3 days in planes, bus, airports, etc)
Budget: around 1800 all included

I am currently considering Blackbeard in early May (Nassau departure). I went with them 16 years ago when they were based in Miami. At time, it was a good value for the money.

Given your parameters, ($1800) BlackBeard looks like the way to go. I did it about six years ago and had a ball. Big-time bang for the buck.
