The Gulf is cold right now... Brrr!
Who wants to visit the "Venice Beach" of the east coast... Blue Heron Bridge?
VB offers sharks teeth and some interesting sea life. BHB offers some of Florida's most interesting sea life (and in many cases, some of the rarest Florida sea life around)
I am offering to take everyone on a guided tour of the bridge at the end of January!
----
Blue Heron Bridge is a shore dive within Phil Foster Park (900 E. Blue Heron Blvd.
Riviera Beach, FL 33404)
The best time to dive is during slack high tide (once per day while the park is open), or 45 min. before to one hour after high tide
The next "acceptable" weekend high tide is Saturday, January 31 2009 at 11:17AM
I intend to be in the parking lot at 9:35 AM and enter the water between 10:15 and 10:30 AM, tour the mooring balls until the current is at a safe entry, and drift into the bridge from south to north and beyond the bridge to the north into some shallow wrecks, then drift in and out the pilons under the bridge taking pictures along the way...
If you'd like to join me, let me know... This is a "one-of-a-kind" dive and a max depth of 20'
Likely to see (Note: This is a "Macro" dive. Many of the things you are likely to see will be juvinal size or small is the norm, but not always!)...
All of these pictures were taken in the last three months at Blue Heron Bridge
