Nice shots as usual Gudge but the last batch you posted were my favourites .... I am not sure anyone will ever beat them!

Citizens demand more batfish Gudge! :P Though your latest lot are lovely as always. I like the second last shot in particular.

I did two *awesome* dives today, viz was great at 10m on each dive :bounce: We did a dive at Rye Pier, three divers and one snorkler (one of my friends is recovering from a DCI hit but can snorkel until he is cleared for diving). It was cool having him on top as 'surface support' as he would swim down to us and tell us where the giant stingrays were! Also on the second dive we got lost so I signaled for him to point us back to the pier :) I could be lazy with nav with him around :P Saw lots of seahorses, a big stingray which swum right up to me, puffers, schools of mullet + whiting + mysiods (sp?). I also saw something strange underwater - a bird. It was diving down to feed on fish. At first I thought it was a really really odd fish and I was thinking 'wow that fish looks like a bird!' and was thinking I will have to look in my ID book as soon as I did the dive :rofl3:

Second dive was at Flinders so I think it is my third dive in a week there (out of three dives I have done there :P) It was nice to finally do this pier with good viz. One of our group had never seen a weedy sea dragon and she spotted one 10mins into the dive and was pretty chuffed (I am glad she got to spot it for herself rather than me or one of the others :)). By the end of the dive I am sure she was sick of them as we saw dozens! Also a large stingray (3m in diameter so the biggest I have seen) was out and about, silting up the pier!

Petunia +AW I am so jealous - a TURTLE!!! His/her expression is hilarious :):)

As suggested by Petunia here are some pics from my last few dives. These are my first underwater pictures.

here are some of the pics of the last two dives...I think I have it worked out!! Sharks and all

:clapping:hey your first shots? Great job... lots of activity good focus.... good stuff... thanks for sharing:D

I just want to say thanks to the guys I dived with at BI today, the seahorses were fabulous (sworn to secrecy, shh don't tell anyone) and the turtle was very cool, rather young by the look of it.

Hey welcome a SB:D neat name! We'll just have to remember Mrs Fish is not fish's MRS :rofl3::rofl3:

AW thanks for checking into that item for me...I know it would have been a lot of work!

Can't wait to see hubby's shots. If you look close you can see him in the background of my turtle shot taken on the manual setting. It was a thoroughly enjoyable dive and the critter count was acceptable :):rofl3::)

hubby dived bare island with his buddy Nunz today and he tells me it was flat but dirty

they found the blue devil fish and the seahorse that was on the ledge near it so they were happy with the dive (although hubby didnt take his camera today)

still nagging him for pics from sundays dive.... hes a lazy bugger sometimes :D

:dropmouth: I didn't know he could do that....:shocked2: Thought he had to have students to fuss with or a camera to fuss with or he couldn't dive!:eyebrow:

:rofl3::rofl3: Wow learn something new every day:rofl3::rofl3:
