Everyone has to have a goal, I guess.... I actually wonder how that guy keeps his mask from flooding... That in itself is worthy of Mythbusters experiment. LOL

I actually really enjoy watching Mythbusters but I have to say I don't really understand people's fascination with celebrities. Seems to me that an intense loss of privacy "does things" to you and I'm left more often with a sense of amazement that people don't try to "disappear" when they become famous than a sense of desire wanting to be like them or with them..... I personally think that being famous would be a complete and total nightmare.

This reminds me of something that Bill Murray once said when a fan remarked that he wanted to be "rich and famous"... Murray winked at the eager fan and replied: "Try just being rich first and see if that does it for you."

We were diving the breakwater one day and my dive buddy says: "Hey isn't that the two dudes from Mythbusters?" - Sure enough at the next bench over was Tori and Grant getting their OW. I wonder if they ever gave Kari Byron a shout for us?

By why, really?

I mean Kari Byron is a pretty attractive women.... nothing to refute that ....

But there are so many pretty women....and they just keep coming.... Divers usually mention Jessica Alba in these kinds of threads.... and it gets better. My last TV (literally) blew up in a puff of white smoke and sparks when I was watching the video from Cristina Agulera's Dirty.... I mean even my TV knew....

But I mean seriously. If I just look at it from my own situation, I mean, I'm 42, a little fat, a little (too) grey and not the least bit cool since I had kids..... but my wife (who is neither fat nor grey) is pretty darned hot and somehow managed to stay cool after we had kids... and when she was the same age as Kari Byron I know which one I would have wanted to "pick up" .....

so frankly.... let's be realistic. I have a realistic chance of getting my wife to sleep with me (regardless of how stuipid it must make her sound).... so why I would waste time and energy lusting after people I don't even know. .

I guess this is just all to say "why?" why would people lust after celebrities when their own partners are realistically exactly what we were looking for....

My feelings exactly.
I have done business with many so-called celebrities. It’s not fun and a huge pain. Some of them were terrific people and would actually fun to be around but others – well let’s just say they are not too much fun to be around. Some are s self absorbed and live in such isolation they have no social skills whatsoever.

I have fun diving. I have fun diving with most of the people on this board that I’ve dived with. I dive to have fun, not to baby sit some celebrity.

Im single so I can lust after whoever I want, including Jessica Alba and Kari Byron. That is not to say I cant go pick up the not famous hottie at my local bar either tho..
