STOL.

It's my own design. The original was an enlarged version of another plane that had flight characteristics I liked. I made a few versions of that one.... ok, I crashed them and had to rebuild.

I decided to take the best from that design and change it to make it my own. I corrected the things about it that bothered me, and now it's pretty close to what I want (for now).

I can nose dive it in, then flair it at the last moment, then hover it down to the ground. With the right propeller (which I don't have at the moment, need to get to the hobby shop...) it will go from hover to straight up.

I tried again today to get down to Morrison, but there was no one there, and the gate was locked. I'll just have to wait for it to open, like everyone else.

I wondered if you were trying to hang it on the propeller on STOL using a high angle of attack... :)

any flaps to extend the airfoil for STOL? or does that just complicate and add un-needed weight?

is this the blue-foam design?

yes, 1/2" bluecor foam

no, no flaps

no real airfoil to speak of even.
